Photometric stereo is a technique used in computer vision to estimate the surface normals of objects by analyzing the variations in lighting conditions. By introducing a nut in the scene, the surface properties of the nut can be analyzed and the shape of the nut can be reconstructed using multiple images taken under different lighting angles.
